“‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not receive any of her plagues.”
The child sexual exploitation platform Kidflix, which operated on the dark web, has been shut down through a large-scale international investigation led by German police in coordination with Europol and 38 European countries, Evangelical Focus reported on April 3. This marks the largest child sexual abuse case ever investigated in Europe.
The platform had around 2 million users and circulated 91,000 videos totaling over 6,300 hours of exploitative content. Some users were rewarded for uploading their own material and accessed high-quality content through tokens—indicating active involvement in production and distribution, not just passive consumption.
The investigation, dubbed Operation Ivan, identified 1,400 users across Europe, many of whom were repeat offenders. In Germany, 96 locations were searched, and 16 suspects were arrested in Spain. Thousands of mobile and storage devices were confiscated, and 39 children were placed under police protection.
Europol Director Catherine De Bolle emphasized that “real victims—children—are behind these crimes” and highlighted the importance of cross-border collaboration and information sharing to combat such hard-to-trace online crimes. “Society as a whole must act to protect children,” she added.
Carolina Sánchez, head of Amar Dragoste, a Spanish child exploitation victim support group, stated, “Child sexual abuse, pornography, and the exploitation of minors form an industry that preys on extreme vulnerability and defenselessness.” She stressed the importance of raising public awareness about how these networks operate and how perpetrators gain access to victims by paying for content.
Sánchez also emphasized that dismantling such secretive platforms requires international cooperation and substantial human and material resources. She urged governments to impose stricter penalties, introduce stronger laws, and invest in investigation, coordination, prevention, and public awareness.
The Kidflix operation began in 2022 and concluded in March 2025. Participating countries included Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, and 34 other European nations. (Source: Gospel Prayer Newspaper Edited)
For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.” Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; (Revelations 18:3-4,NIV)
God, we entrust this land into Your hands where the vile reality of sexual immorality has been exposed, now recorded as the largest child sex crime investigation in European history. Expose and rebuke those who exploit children for lust and profit when they should have been protected and loved. Rule over them with Your justice. Rescue every child who has been forced into exploitation. Heal their wounded bodies and hearts and restore them as holy brides waiting for the return of Jesus. Let Your Church hold firmly to the gospel of the cross so that it may not share in these sins or suffer the plagues destined for those who commit such evil.
