》 About the USA

Since World War II, the United States has played a leading role in shaping the global order. As a central figure in international organizations like the United Nations (UN) and NATO, it has promoted the values of democracy and liberalism and has served as a key mediator in global diplomacy and security. Economically, the U.S. remains the largest economy in the world, with the U.S. dollar functioning as the primary international reserve currency. Innovative tech companies from Silicon Valley significantly influence the global economy, while the U.S. military—widely considered the most powerful in the world—maintains international security through collaboration with NATO and allied nations.

Culturally, the United States wields substantial soft power through Hollywood films, pop music, fashion, and sports. English has become the global lingua franca, and the U.S. leads in technological innovation across fields such as IT, artificial intelligence (AI), and space exploration. Its world-renowned universities and research institutions continue to shape academic and scientific advancement.

As a multicultural nation, the United States is home to a wide array of races and immigrant communities. While early immigration was dominated by Europeans—particularly from Britain, the Netherlands, France, and Germany—racial and cultural diversity has significantly expanded over time. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, African slaves were forcibly brought to the U.S., increasing the Black population. From the mid-19th century onward, large waves of Irish and German immigrants arrived, followed by Chinese and Japanese immigrants who settled primarily in the western regions as laborers.

In the 20th century, immigration surged from Southern and Eastern Europe, and after the 1965 revision of immigration laws, there was a dramatic rise in immigrants from Asia and Latin America. From the late 20th century, growing numbers of Muslim immigrants from the Middle East and South Asia arrived, many seeking job opportunities, while others came as refugees fleeing war or political instability.

Today, American society is composed of Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, and Middle Eastern and Muslim communities. Immigrants have played a vital role in the nation’s economic and cultural development. Yet, ongoing debates around immigration policy, racial tensions, and religious diversity highlight the continued challenge of fostering identity and integration in a pluralistic society. The United States remains a dynamic nation navigating both the opportunities and complexities of its rich multicultural fabric.

》 Scripture Focus

Haggai 2:20-23(NIV)
20. The word of the LORD came to Haggai a second time on the twenty-fourth day of the month:
21. “Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah that I will shake the heavens and the earth.
22. I will overturn royal thrones and shatter the power of the foreign kingdoms. I will overthrow chariots and their drivers; horses and their riders will fall, each by the sword of his brother.
23. “‘On that day,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”

》 Prayer Points

1. The United States is one of the most influential countries in the world, impacting politics, the economy, military affairs, culture, and media. This influence can be used for great good—helping with humanitarian aid, defending human rights, advancing technology, and sharing knowledge—but it can also lead to harm, such as spreading selfish values, cultural dominance, and corporate greed. Let us pray that God will guide America’s influence to be used for good, bringing truth and justice to the nations. May the Lord use the United States to shine His light and help bring down false ideas and raise up His truth in every corner of the world.

2. There are 31 ethnic groups in the U.S. with populations over 1 million, including people from Mexico, China, the Philippines, India, Colombia, Haiti, Cuba, and Vietnam. Let us pray that these people will hear the gospel, be saved, and help build strong churches. There are also around 1.7 million Muslim immigrants who gather in over 1,200 mosques. Let’s ask God to send workers who can lovingly share the gospel with them. The U.S. is home to about 5.2 million Jewish people—may they come to know Jesus as their Messiah through ministries like Messianic churches and Jews for Jesus. America is a nation filled with people from many nations—immigrants, refugees, workers, and families. Let us pray that the church in the U.S. will rise to this calling and be faithful to share the gospel with every group—so that the mission of Jesus is fulfilled and His return is made ready.

3. A large portion of American Catholics—about 25%—identify with charismatic beliefs, and this number reaches about 50% among Hispanic Catholics. Though Catholicism is influential in the U.S., it faces challenges like falling attendance and scandals among clergy. Let us pray that the true message of the cross will bring healing, change, and revival to Catholic believers. The American church has a strong history of revival and powerful prayer. Today, many prayer networks and ministries are still active—like the Mission America Coalition, National Pastor’s Prayer Network, Lydia Fellowship, Seek God for the City, See You at the Pole, and the 24/7 Prayer Movement. Let us pray that God will move powerfully through these prayers to bring spiritual awakening in America and send His gospel to every nation—so His kingdom may come on earth as it is in heaven.
