“From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.”
Harun Ibrahim, a former Arab Muslim, came to faith in Jesus Christ after reading the Bible. He has since dedicated his life to missions, using media and satellite broadcasting to share the gospel throughout the Muslim world. According to a recent report by CBN News, countless people have come to believe in Christ through his ministry.
Born in Israel to Arab Muslim parents, Ibrahim attended a Jewish school and later married a devout Christian woman. After years of exploring various religions, he found himself at a crossroads—facing a choice between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
One day, a man he met on the street shared a verse from the Bible: “No one comes to the Father except through Jesus,” and encouraged him to read the Bible for himself. Ibrahim read the Gospel of John seven times and ultimately accepted Jesus as his Savior.
Following his conversion, he was filled with a passion to reach Muslims with the gospel. For years, he served as a missionary across several Arab nations, devoting himself to evangelism. In 2003, he founded Al Hayat Ministries, launching a mission focused on satellite broadcasting and the internet. The ministry’s vision is to equip believers from Muslim backgrounds with the tools and knowledge needed to fulfill the Great Commission. So far, more than 100,000 people have come to faith in Jesus Christ through this ministry.
In a recent appearance on the “Keeping It Real Israel” podcast, Ibrahim shared that millions have been reached with the gospel in a short time. “In 2023 alone, we received 109 million responses or interactions, and thousands accepted Christ,” he said. “This shows there is a real hunger in the Muslim world to hear about Christ.”
He explained that he has developed a new strategy to communicate directly in the language and culture of Muslims. He emphasized that media, television, and the internet have become powerful tools in carrying out Jesus’ Great Commission, and that the once-closed Muslim world is now gaining access to the gospel through satellite and social media.
Ibrahim also noted the serious risks faced by Muslims who convert to Christianity: many are rejected by their families, lose their jobs and livelihoods, and in some countries, even face threats to their lives. Islam does not permit conversion, and while some countries allow a chance to return to Islam, refusal often leads to persecution.
He urged those who want to reach Muslims to begin with prayer, saying, “When you pray for the Muslim world, God will show you what to do.”(Source: CBN News, Edited Version)
Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.(Psalms 3:7-8)
God, Thank you for making Jesus known to many Muslims across nations through the obedience of a single witness and for revealing the forgiveness of sins and the salvation found in His name. We pray that You would protect believers from Muslim backgrounds who endure severe persecution and suffering, standing firm in faith with perseverance. Break the schemes of the enemy so that all may know that You alone are the Lord. Let the gospel be proclaimed through media and every available means into the closed Islamic world so that many may praise the love and victory of the cross. As Your church unites in prayer for this work, may the blessing of the Lord and the salvation of the Lord be poured out upon the nations.
