When sinners are driven by the lust of the flesh into sexual corruption, it eventually leads to homosexuality. The downfall of Sodom and Gomorrah also reached the point of homosexuality and thus naturally led to destruction. Even today, across the world, homosexuality and same-sex marriage are destroying the divine order of creation and life that God has established.
Yet the problem is not only the issue of lust. There are also forces that systematically incite homosexuality so that people can no longer regard it as sin. This is what is known as gender ideology or gender mainstreaming, an ideology that denies the order God has planned since before creation. It justifies whatever the body and heart desire and promotes it as good. Gender ideology seeks to dismantle sexual identity based on biological sex (male and female) and instead elevates the concept of “social gender,” thereby justifying homosexual acts and undermining the traditional moral framework of sexuality handed down through society.
A 2021 Gallup Korea survey on the legalization of same-sex marriage showed 38% in favor and 52% opposed. Considering that the percentage of Koreans in favor of same-sex marriage has already risen from 17% in 2001 to 34% in 2017, and now 38% in 2021, it reveals just how far the nation’s value standards regarding sexuality have collapsed.
Worldwide, more than 30 countries have legalized same-sex marriage. Beginning with the Netherlands in 2001, it spread mainly across Europe and North America, including Belgium (2003), Spain and Canada (2005), Norway and Sweden (2009). In the Americas, Argentina (2010), Brazil and Uruguay (2013), Colombia (2016), Costa Rica (2020), and the United States (2022) have legalized it. In Asia, Taiwan (2019) and Thailand (2020) have done the same.
Looking at the correlation between homosexuality and HIV/AIDS, public health authorities in Korea, Japan, and the United States officially acknowledge that male homosexual contact is a primary transmission route of the disease. According to Korea’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s 2022 HIV/AIDS Management Guidelines, among the 584 cases of infection through sexual contact in 2020, 56.2% (328 people) occurred between men, showing that four out of ten infected were homosexuals.
While global new infections are on the decline, Korea is witnessing a sharp rise among its youth. Particularly among teenagers aged 15 to 19, the number has increased 21-fold over the past 15 years. More than 99% of cases were caused by sexual contact, and since the vast majority of patients are male, male homosexual contact is judged to be the main transmission route among Korean youth. Yet Korea’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention fails to provide any notice on its website regarding the dangers of AIDS or the connection between homosexuality and the disease.
Meanwhile, Korea’s National Human Rights Commission has been pushing for the enactment of an Anti-Discrimination Law to provide legal protection and support for those pursuing homosexuality or transgenderism, and as of 2022, such legislation is at risk of being passed in the National Assembly. Moreover, cultural mass media through movies, dramas, pop music, and news articles that promote homosexuality is working diligently to erase the public’s negative perception of it.

1. Let us pray to tear down the powers of Satan that destroy the created order and undermine the God-given values of sexuality by promoting homosexuality. May the nations that have legalized same-sex marriage be freed from the lie that it is a human right, and realize that true rights were accomplished through the cross of Christ, leading them to repentance. Let us also pray that in Korea, laws and ordinances such as the Anti-Discrimination Act (so-called Equality Act) and Student Human Rights Ordinances will not be passed. And may the next generation turn away from the evil of homosexuality, restore holiness, and walk in obedience to the truth.

1. God created mankind as male and female, and it is His will that one man and one woman come together to form a family and bring forth life. Let us proclaim in faith that no one can alter the order brought by God.
2.Though God’s eternal power and divine nature are clearly revealed in all that He has made, sinners still worship idols with futile thoughts and foolish hearts, following their lusts. This is the reality of sin. Against such ungodliness and unrighteousness, the wrath of heaven will surely come, and there is no way of escape except through the cross. Let us pray that the power of Satan, which drives people to oppose and rebel against God, will be broken, and that all nations will realize they stand under wrath, so that they may repent in reverent fear.
3. Sinners not only commit homosexuality by suppressing the truth in unrighteousness, but also seek to have their actions approved by society, culture, law, and institutions under the guise of “human rights,” thereby confusing values and ideologies. Let us pray that this deception, which seeks to exchange the truth for a lie, will be fully exposed, and that those trapped in homosexuality will hear and believe the gospel of the cross, receiving the grace of forgiveness of sins and restoration of holiness.
