Chapter 6. God Creates a ‘Blessed Being’

1) Original Form Created as a “Blessed Being”

Man’s Original Form is a ‘blessed being’ made in the image of God, the source of blessings. Let us imagine the joy of Adam, the first man created in the likeness of God’s image. Adam was content with God alone, and in turn, God could not help but be delighted by Adam. He was given mutual authority by God to rule over all the creation that praised God. All creatures under the rule of Adam, God’s overseer, sing praises to the glory of the God who created him. All the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and the livestock, along with everything that fills the entire earth, are secure under Adam’s rule. It is impossible to imagine Adam lacking anything. Created in the midst of a God’s kingdom where everything is abundant and prepared, Adam enjoyed the fullness of that blessing. He was a blessed being.

》Scripture Prayer

(Genesis 1:26-31) Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

》Pray that the Word may become the Conclusion.

1. Our current distorted image is surely not our original form. God completed the message of the cross in Christ Jesus to ‘recreate’ us into the original form that was before creation. Let us that pray that we may move forward with joy and gratitude, believing in the perfect Word of God that created us as a ‘blessed being.’

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— (Ephesians 2:4-5)

2. We are beings created in the image of God, which was very pleasing to God’s eyes. It is unimaginable that this original form which lacked nothing, turned into beings thirsty and sorrowful in the Garden of Eden. Likewise, we who have been restored to the original form of creation in Jesus Christ can no longer live such a life. Let us honestly acknowledge the reality of sinners who have lost the original form and earnestly pray for restoration through the Gospel of the Cross.

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. (Revelation 22:17)

2) Enjoying the Life of the Original Form as a Channel of Blessing

The Bible tells us that in Christ, we have been given every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 1:3). We have been restored as ‘blessed beings’ through Jesus Christ. The blessings given to us are not the blessings sought after by worldly people, such as wealth, honor, and health.
Astonishingly, this blessing is the tremendous life of Christ himself, which was poured out abundantly to all people of the world, and it is never lacking. O receivers of the eternal blessing, bearers of the life of Christ, blessed beings! Let us rise as channels of blessings for the nations. The original form is a missionary being that restores and blesses the whole earth with the life of Christ.

》Scripture Prayer

(Genesis 12:1-3) Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

(Galatians 3:8-9) And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

(Psalm 67:1-2) May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.

(Psalm 67:5-7) Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!

》Pray that the Word may become the Conclusion.

1. We all desire to receive the blessing that Abraham received. However, the Bible tells us that the blessing Abraham received was not merely the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. It clearly states that it was the blessing of the gospel. This blessing is becoming God’s children through faith in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, it is written that this blessing will flow to all nations and to the ends of the earth, including those who do not know God. We are the recipients of Abraham’s blessing because we believe in Jesus Christ. Let us repent of seeking the wrong blessings and being preoccupied with our individual joy, and instead, be restored as channels of the blessing to send forth the Gospel of life.

He says: “It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:6)

2. Let us pray that all the churches and saints in this land realize that they are channels of the gospel to proclaim ‘the Lord’s ways on the earth and His salvation to all nations.’ Let us confess that we are gladly willing to offer all the resources and blessings God has given us for the revival of God’s kingdom and the completion of the mission. Let us pray that the church may be captivated by the vision where all nations and peoples receive salvation, bringing glory and praise to the Lord.

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 1and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  (Revelation 7:9-10)
