The Equal Rights or Anti-Discrimination Laws have led to reverse discrimination against the Church.

In the 1990s, when the international community showed a trend of applying “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to equal rights, the World Human Rights Organization and several countries began enacting comprehensive anti-discrimination laws. Currently, about 30 countries have implemented equality laws that include sexual orientation.
Comprehensive anti-discrimination laws including sexual orientation and gender identity were also enacted in the United States, and states that recognize same-sex marriage emerged in the mid-2000s. Then in 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court decided that legalization of gay marriage should be applied across all 50 states. In states that apply comprehensive anti-discrimination laws, people often face penalties or punitive damages lawsuits if they express opposition to homosexuality.
In 2004, the Swedish court first sentenced Pastor Ake Green, who preached in a church that homosexuality was a sin, to one month in prison by applying the Anti-Hate Press Act. Sweden already allowed gay people living together to adopt children in 2003. It also implemented open sex education for the first time in the world, resulting in condoms and birth control pills found in children’s bags.
In this way, sex education that encourages children’s lust and homosexuality is being implemented.
The global sexual revolution aims to allow all sexual relationships desired by humans and guarantee them by law. South Korea already abolished the crime of adultery in 2015 due to the right to determine one’s own sexuality; adultery is no longer a sin. Bestiality rights groups have sprung up in Canada and Korea. Pedophilia is also considered sexual orientation, and a famous German university taught about it. Blinded by such sins, these countries don’t even realize their wrongdoings. For Korea, the anti-discrimination law did not pass since it was first introduced in 2007 and initiated again in 2008 and 2011 to 2013, thanks to many of the active Christians. Prior to this, they prevented the legalization of prostitution and the implementation of the sale of pornographic magazines at convenience stores. However, legislation on homosexuality continues to be introduced and still proposed by the National Assembly.
The legalization of same-sex marriage is not just a matter of the institution of marriage ; it is a question of how to protect children from misguided views of faith and worldview.
The anti-discrimination laws, which encourage the idea of “Determine your gender based on how you feel. Your identity, not your gender, is important. You’re your own god,” are false messages injecting an anti-biblical ideology enforced by law.
》Prayer Points
1. Long-standing Christian countries have fully realized the spirit of individual freedom, human rights, and equality through democratic political systems. However, like Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19, in many countries, people who commit sexual depravity and homosexuality are leading others to deception and making homosexuality guaranteed by law. Political leaders in each country enacted anti-discrimination laws under the guise of comprehensive human rights and equality of various groups and classes. These laws have ironically promoted moral corruption by prioritizing the recognition of homosexuality and sexual orientation as key elements. Since the biggest obstacle for them at this time is the Bible and the Church, the authorities are restricting the Church by law and preventing it from following the Word, ultimately bringing it down. Let’s pray that the churches of all nations will clearly know and pray to stop the sin of corruption promoted by discrimination laws in each country, and that they will boldly share the gospel and fight their spiritual battles, fully armed with the Word of God.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.(Romans 1:26-27,32,NIV)
》Scripture Prayer
Read and meditate on the following passage.
Leviticus 18: Do not do any of these abominable things; I am your God.
Leviticus 18:22-30(NIV) 22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable. 23 “‘Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is a perversion. 24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you. 29 “‘Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’” |
》Pray that the Word may become the Conclusion.
1.The land that Israel entered after their exodus from Egypt was deeply corrupted by the sins and sexual immorality of the Canaanites. Their wickedness defiled the land to the extent that it metaphorically “vomited out its inhabitants” due to their overwhelming sin. God made it clear that He punished the Canaanites for their iniquities and that the salvation and holiness of Israel were meant to demonstrate His sanctifying power.
However, Israel soon abandoned the holiness of God’s laws and statutes, falling into the same abominable practices that the Canaanites had engaged in, defiling themselves in the process. This highlighted the reality of human sinfulness and the inability of people to achieve righteousness on their own. It served as clear evidence that salvation for sinners could only be accomplished through the gospel, which God Himself provides. Today, as God’s people, the Church is called to live in the holiness made possible through the cross of Christ, steadfastly believing in the gospel while residing in a world filled with sin, much like the land of Canaan. Let us pray and commit to living in holiness through the power of the gospel.
2. The greatest miracle and blessing for sinners is the salvation accomplished by the holy God, who declares, “I am the LORD your God.” Despite witnessing the miracles and mighty power of the Exodus, and experiencing God’s daily presence, guidance, and spoken Word, Israel still failed to revere and love Him with their hearts. This is the true nature of sin.
Today, in nations with long-standing Christian traditions, where nearly everyone identifies as Christian, we see parallels to the sins of the ancient Canaanites: adultery, incest, sexual violence, prostitution, homosexuality, bestiality, pedophilia, and the acceptance of various forms of sexual orientation through legislation. These are strategies of Satan to lead people into sin and destruction. Let us, in the name of Christ, pray against such schemes. Pray for the people of these nations to tremble before the Word of God, repent, and return to the gospel, living by faith alone. Pray for churches to reject all abominable practices of the world, remaining undefiled, so that the blessing of having the holy God as their Lord may be restored.
