“All scripture is God-breathed”
Nearly a quarter of young Brits would support banning the Bible if they believed it contained ‘hate speech’.
According to Britain’s Christian Today (CT), a poll group, Whitestone Insights, recently asked 2,088 British adults whether they agreed with a statement that “unless malicious parts can be edited, books containing hate speech should be banned from general sale, including religious books.”
The results highlighted that individuals aged 18 to 34 were most likely to agree with such measures (23%), followed by those aged 35 to 54 (17%). In contrast, respondents over the age of 55 were less likely to support a ban (13%).
Lois McLetchie from the Alliance Defending Freedom UK expressed concern over the poll results citing examples of governments arresting street preachers and abortion activists.
“Many people have expressed their support for the Bible ban. We may no longer be a Christian majority here in the United Kingdom,” McLetchie said in an interview with local media. “This is why we must protect freedom of speech and faith for all.”
Concerning measures have already been taken under the government toward censorship, such as arresting street preachers for preaching in public and taking pro-life activists to court for praying quietly near abortion clinics, he said.
“Censoring one type of faith because it is inconsistent with the dominant orthodoxy of the times is no better than forcing medieval non-liberal blasphemy laws,” he said. “We must strongly defend religious freedom from those who write the bills.”
“We must truly educate ourselves on the hateful consequences of censorship before this type of thinking the poll result reveals becomes more prevalent and solidified,” he said (Source: Daily Good News Comprehensive).

God, please save the British government from the lies of the enemy and misconceptions about the Bible, and turn them away from doing evil things such as arresting street preachers and pro-life activists. May You let them die to sins and live to You that they may know the consequence of deserting Your Word that is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. May a true spiritual awakening rise in England through the lives and prayers of the faithful witnesses who keep Your Word firmly despite various social pressures.
